Festivals and Events: Canada Day Celebrations 2015

Another Canada Day has come and gone in this glorious country and there was no better way to be patriotic than to enjoy the many celebrations Miramichi had to offer.

The festivities kicked off early with a Canada Day celebration on Water Street in Chatham on June 27 with a bouncing castle and games for children, live entertainment from local bands, and a street sale.

On Canada Day, Miramichi was overflowing with celebratory Canadian pride. The annual Strawberry Fest took place at 10 a.m. before the parade, with prime real estate along the parade route.

Of course, there can't be a proper Canada Day without a Canada Day parade! The parade started at 1 p.m. and ran its regular route through Newcastle. The parade is sponsored by Station 1 firefighters.

This year's Canada Day was a big success. This year the fireworks display is being combined with the Rock 'N' Roll Festival and takes place July 2.
